The new Woody Point Jetty opens.

January also saw the opening of the new $8.7 million Woody Point jetty and foreshore redevelopment.
This is the third jetty to be constructed at the Woody Point site (the first opened back in 1882).
The new jetty is 240 metres long,  six metres wide, has a concrete substructure and recycled hardwood timber decking.
Big celebrations were planned [...]

The Seabrae falls…

The historic Seabrae Hotel in Redcliffe was demolished in January 2009.
The hotel was a popular Redcliffe landmark,  dating back to the fifties and will be relaced by a 12 storey/$150 million commercial and residential development.
